You might want to fly direct from Pasco, Spokane, and avoid the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

According to a report obtained from the TSA by ABC News,  Sea-Tac is ranked 8th in the U.S. for Transportation Security Administration workers fired for theft.    The report, obtained by way of the Freedom Of Information Act request,  shows  the  TSA terminated 381 employees between 2002, and December 2011.

Sea-Tac is tied for 8th with Newark Liberty Airport, and Philadelphia, each have had 12 workers let go.    The worst? Miami International (29) and JFK (27).   LAX (Los Angeles) had 24 during the period.   These figures only take into account TSA workers fired for a confirmed, convictable theft.     TSA official stress these numbers only amount to about 0.5 percent of the workforce, and these include theft of all kinds-not just from passengers.  However, it does give the TSA yet another black eye, along with the numerous reports of TSA employees being accused of groping passengers, mistreating them,  and even smuggling drugs and other contraband, even bribing instructors to pass important security tests!
