Authorities say a dozen TSA workers, including six screening officers, have been arrested and charged with helping smuggle some 20 TONS of cocaine bound for the U.S. through the country's main airport in Puerto Rico.
UPDATE 2:30 p.m. EST: NBC is reporting that one TSA agent was killed and three others wounded. Airport police shot and may have killed the gunman at the scene. The shooter, whose identity has not been confirmed, was taken into custody after being shot.
According to reports from the Transportation Security Administration, the agency plans to clean a little house at the Newark International Airport by firing 25 employees and suspending 19 others for alleged misconduct.
