A man who was first contacted early Thursday by police who were checking on his welfare decided he needed to go all Mike Tyson with the officers.

23-year-old Jacob Coffman was contacted by police near West 3rd and South Auburn streets. He'd apparently been lying on the bank of the nearby irrigation canal, and somebody called it in.

Officers who were checking on him informed him he was trespassing on Columbia Irrigation District Property, but instead of just leaving and going on his way, he stood up, squared up, and raised his fists like a boxer and challenged the police.

He lost. Officers were able to "gain control" of him, and now his boxing career is on hold in the Benton County Jail. Unfortunately police did not provide any pictures of his boxing escapade.
