Wanted Suspect Triggers School Lockdown With Standoff
A wanted suspect who was located at an apartment complex refused to surrender to police Tuesday, triggering a brief standoff and lockdown of Kamiakin High School next door.
31-year-old Cameron Schuoler was wanted on charges of alleged Assault Domestic Violence and Harassment Domestic Violence.
He initially refused to exit one of the units at the Pepper Tree Village on North Arthur street, but eventually came out and was arrested without any further incident. As a precaution, Kamiakin High School was briefly locked down, as it is right next door.
Shuoler was taken to the Benton County Jail.
