According to the experts, we're the best place to ride a bicycle.

The League of American Bicyclists has again, for the 6th year in a row, voted Washington the state most friendly to bicycles and riders.

With May being celebrated as National Bicycle Month, the group judged each state in the U.S. in five categories including traffic safety laws towards bikes and their enforcement, the amount of money spent on bike paths and transportation and the ease with which a rider can travel in their communities.

Our state also scored highest in encouraging people of all ages to ride and providing education for them to ride safely.

And you folks in Oregon should feel pretty good, too. Your state came in 2nd in the survey!
