Last week, the Port of Kennewick voted to close down Vista Field and sell the land to potential developers. The facility had been losing thousands of dollars each year over the last decade. Now that the official decision has been made, commissioners will be meeting to finalize plans Tuesday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Commission Chambers, 350 Clover Island in Kennewick.

While it is not likely a set concrete plan at that time, the timetable is on the agenda and it will likely outline the final closing plan. Last week, port officials said it could take up to two years for the entire process to take place.
