The skies over the PNW were electrifying over the weekend as storms brought over 35,500 lightning strikes. Thankfully there are not thousands of wildfires as a result of all that lightning, but there are several (map below). Remember to avoid water during a lightning storm as it can travel through plumbing. Your cell phone is safe to use but avoid corded phones. Lightning can travel through your electrical system too, so it's a good idea to turn computers and the TV off.
