WSP Derails Erratic Speeding Driver After 25 Mile Chase
WSP Troopers were busy Wednesday morning, after calls came flooding in about an erratic, speeding dangerous driver on Highway 12.
The sedan, with four occupants, was endangering other motorists, according to reports. A WSP trooper tried to pull over the vehicle which was heading from the Walla Walla area towards the Tri-Cities. However, the driver refused, and continued to try to elude the WSP Patrol Units.
Finally, after chasing the car for about 25 miles, Trooper C. Thorson says spike strips were able to be laid down not far from Burbank. The car tried to avoid, but they shredded both right side tires. WSP says the car only made it about one more mile before pulling over just East of Burbank.
Thorson says the driver is in custody, the other three people are being questioned. No other information has yet been made available. No one was injured and no accidents caused by the incident, fortunately. The driver, says Thorson, is initially facing at least Felony Eluding Charges.
