According to Washington State Liquor Control Board, there are numerous applicants.

Specific details are still coming out, but according to information released today by the Board,  11 individuals or entities have applied for a license to open a state-run marijuana store.

The Tri-City breakdown includes, one each in Richland, Kennewick, West Richland, and two in Pasco.   While specific names were not released some of the company names were.

They include Horse Heaven Hills High, Buckingham Buds, and West Coast Productions.  Dude, Where's My Car? was not on the list.

According to the Liquor Control Board, the stores are slated to be opening next spring, possibly March.
