Thursday night Pasco police were able to apprehend a drunk driver who apparently had eluded Kennewick police earlier in the evening.

Around 8:20 p.m. officers met with a witness who was at the Pasco Walmart and had called in a driver who was behaving erratically.

Police were able to track down and locate the car, driven by a male who's identity was not released, and he was contacted at the front door of the store.

The man began to behave strangely then hit both officers in the face.

He and a woman with him matched the description given by Kennewick officers earlier about a vehicle who had fled away from them a short time earlier.

The man was arrested, the woman questioned then released.
