Authorities still don't know why a 50-year old woman's car veered off Highway 82 south of the Oregon city.

Sometime between midnight and 3:27 AM tuesday morning, a Chevy Tahoe driven by Karen Marie Root of Enterprise was Northbound when it left the road near mile marker 68.  That section of road is curved with narrow shoulders.

The vehicle rolled at least once before coming to a rest on it's wheels.  Authorities don't yet know specifically how long Root and her vehicle were at the scene, but the accident was reported at 3:27am.

Oregon State Troopers say Root was NOT wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected during the accident.  She was found near the vehicle.  Officials did not say if she died in the crash but from the wording of the news release it was likely she was deceased when first responders arrived.

The investigation continues.
