Franklin County Deputies Nail 3 DUI Offenders, 2 Related to North Pasco Crash
Franklin County Deputies nailed 2 DUI drivers related to one accident very early Sunday morning north of Pasco.
SUV Driver Clips Truck and Trailer, Spills Vehicle
Deputies responded to a crash near Taylor Flats and Elm road, about 11 miles north of Pasco. According to the occupants of the truck, an SUV swerved in front of them abruptly and clipping their truck. Then they hit the trailer hard enough to knock it over.

The two occupants dumped their vehicle and fled into a nearby cornfield, where the Franklin County Sheriff's Office launched one of their drones.
As Deputies were blocking the road at the crash scene until tow trucks could arrive, another drunk driver failed to 'recognize' the detour, tried to drive through the crash scene. He nearly hit a Deputy before being stopped and arrested for, DUI.
Back to the original suspects. The drone, equipped with infrared night vision, spotted the two, they were pursued and called out, according to Deputies, and surrendered. No injuries were reported from the crash.
A Short Time Later, Deputy Nearly Hit Head-On
Not long afterward, a FCSO Sergeant making his way on 4th Ave. was nearly hit head-on by a drunk driver in a sedan, who had just left a bar nearby. The suspect abandoned his car on the sidewalk and fled on foot, but was quickly captured by Pasco PD who arrived to assist.
