Jack-sons Sports Bar in Kennewick for many years was a popular watering hole for sports fans, and of late, fans of karaoke and live music. It will close this weekend.

According to news reports, owners Ken and Shanna French, who have owned the bar the last five years, were hoping to get a one-month extension on their lease to allow a new owner to take over on or around March 1. But they were not able to hammer out a deal with the building's owner, and according to their Facebook page,  were left with no other option than closing the business. Saturday night will be the final evening of operation for the (some say) legendary sports bar, which in recent years was known for its outdoor seating area. A few years ago, Jack-sons even staged outdoor NFL football-watching parties in the middle of winter -- even setting up bleachers and astro-turf for a realistic stadium feel. What are your thoughts about this famous landmark going away?
