Kennewick Police and other authorities are searching diligently to ID and locate this guy, he's accused of several major thefts of materials from both the Kennewick and Pasco Lowe's locations.

Apparently, over the last few weeks, he's managed to make off with some sizeable amounts of products without paying. Police didn't specifically say what he took, but it's said to be in the thousands of dollars.

Could be he's trying to finish a major project, or perhaps, just musing here, he could be selling off the stolen goods to make cash. Either way, he's gotten away with a lot. Kennewick Police also say he has intentionally covered up his license plates. That's the little blue square you see on the bumper in the photo.

Authorities are hoping perhaps he will 'forget' to remove the covering, it will stand out in traffic and it's against the law to cover a plate.

Kennewick Police also say he's going to be on the hook for multiple felonies. They laid out what constitutes a felony. Based upon those dollar amounts, this is why some shoplifters end up with a felony instead of just a simple misdemeanor.

From KPD:

"...A person is guilty of organized retail theft if he or she:
(c) Commits theft of property with a cumulative value of at least seven hundred fifty dollars from one or more mercantile establishments within a period of up to one hundred eighty days;
(3) A person is guilty of organized retail theft in the second degree if the property stolen or possessed has a value of at least seven hundred fifty dollars, but less than five thousand dollars. Organized retail theft in the second degree is a class C felony."
