Teenage Boy Shot Trying to Steal Pot in Pasco

Pasco police say the 16-year-old was shot while trying to steal marijuana buds from a medical marijuana grow in a backyard Thursday night.

Officials say the teen was treated for a non-life threatening wound after being shot in an East Pasco backyard. The occupants said the plants were for medical purposes, and apparently had the proper documentation.

During a search, police found several weapons, and the investigation continues, but no one at the home has been arrested. Police found adjoining growing operations in two backyards.
