September 16th, Christopher Adam Borland of Walla Walla was fatally shot after a confrontation with Walla Walla police.

A woman, identified in the 911 call as Colleen Holly, called 911 to report Borland was apparently despondent and possibly suicidal. He had left home with a gun, and fired warning shot into the ground. He threatened to shoot himself as well. She was identified as his ex-girlfriend.

After a short chase, he stopped his vehicle, stepped out, and displayed a gun. According to the 911 call, it was a Glock. Officers, according to the official report, perceived a threat and fired at him, fatally striking him.

Now as the investigation continues, police have released the 911 call she made.
