Not only were both suspects arrested and now in the Benton County jail, but they wasted their efforts early Thursday morning in Kennewick.

Officers report around 3:24AM, they got a call about two men allegedly trying to enter a unit at the Irving Place Apartments at 100 North Irving.  It's about a block west of Marineland Village, off Clearwater.

Upon arrival, the unit was surrounded and Rakeem Jackson (40 of Richland) and Johnny Rocha (37 of Kennewick) were both apprehended. Jackson was also wanted for outstanding warrants.

It's worth noting besides the older age of the suspects, they wasted their efforts because the unit they broke into...was unoccupied. Empty.  Whoops!
