Amazon Set to Deliver Your Groceries in Two Hours-Pilot Program Begins
A test program has begun in selected cities, and Amazon plans to roll out nationwide grocery delivery service this year.
Amazon Prime members who pay the $99 a year subscription fee, will be able to order and get groceries delivered via their Whole Foods division.
Austin TX, Cincinnati, Dallas and Virginia Beach VA are the first markets where the service will be offered and tested.
Groceries delivered in a two hour window won't have a delivery charge, a one hour option costs $7.99 on orders of $35 or more. The service is the first big integration of Whole Foods, the company Amazon bought last year for $13.7 billion dollars.
But don't get the idea for late-night munchies, the service will only be available between the hours of 8am and 10pm, according to CNBC.
