Beware! Coconut Flakes Recalled In Washington State

The FDA and health officials are warning consumers that tainted shredded coconut could contain salmonella and has been voluntarily recalled.

Check your cupboard or be aware of "Coconut Tree Brand Frozen Shredded Coconut"

The FDA says Evershing International Trading Company is recalling the 16-ounce packs as up to 25 people have gotten ill from the coconut flakes.

The flakes are currently sold in Oregon and Washington.

According to the FDA website, any customers who have this product should return the product to place of purchase for full refund.

Customers may also contact Evershing International Trading Company at (408) 975-9660 during hours of operation, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
