Burglars Prowl Cars in Broad Daylight in Columbia Park

Usually, most car prowls occur in the late night or very early morning hours in our area. And, most of the damage or loss results from an unlocked vehicle, or one where valuable items are clearly visible to an intruder. This makes breaking into it even more enticing.

But Tuesday, Kennewick police responded to not one but several reports of vehicles that were broken into in broad daylight in Columbia Park. The reports were within a similar time frame during the day.

In this instance, a family was spending time in the park, but when they returned to their locked vehicle, they found the right rear window had been smashed out. Several personal items had been stolen.
