Car Thief ‘Happy’ To Be Arrested by Same Officer 3 Months Apart?
Talk about a small world. Pasco police reported Friday a suspect arrested for auto theft back in December, was taken into custody after boosting another car--and busted by the SAME officer who got him in just before the end of 2017.
Officer Mike Nelson was on his way to the 900 block of Empire on an unrelated call when he noticed a suspect stepping out of a vehicle that has been reported stolen. The car was reported stolen out of Sunnyside.
Officer Nelson happened to notice the car parked in the area, then saw the suspect, 30-year-old Joes Louis Flores, getting out. He was quickly arrested and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Flores was also arrested by Officer Nelson December 30th of last year for stealing a car in Pasco. He was given 3 months in jail with credit for time served, and had just been released from jail in mid-March.
His mug shot seems to indicate he was perhaps happy to re-aquaint with the officer.
