The Benton County Coroner has identified the man found in the Columbia River July 12th.

A fisherman found the body of 48-year-old Michael Ricardo King east of the Cable Bridge.  He was originally reported as a transient, and identity was not released until friend were notified.

Coroner John Hansens said Tuesday while no family members could be found,  he was identified by friends and others at a church he attended.They were able to give a positive identification.

Hansens, after an autopsy, ruled his death was an accidental drowning, and no foul play was involved. It is not known what he was doing near the water at his time of death.
