The total number of COVID-19 cases, confirmed and probable, has reached 316 now in Benton and Franklin Counties, according to the Benton Franklin Health District. The totals are confirmed and probables added together.

The latest information shows the following:

  • Confirmed Cases:  Benton 175, Franklin 64
  • Probable Cases:    Benton 48 Franklin 28
  • Deaths:                  Benton 17,   Franklin 1

The number of deaths increased by four over the weekend into Monday, all the latest victims were over the age of 60.  According to breakdowns from the BFHD, 108 of the total cases are in persons aged 61 and older.   92 cases are between the ages of 40 and 60.

The BFHD did not provide data as to how many are hospitalized, or their condition.

As for Washington state figures, 7,984 positive tests and 338 deaths, also reporting 83,391 negative tests state wide, over 91% of those tested. 

Statewide, 38% of deaths are victims aged 60-79, 55% are persons over 80 years of age.
