If you’ve been seeing more and more people with tattoos lately, you are certainly not imagining things.

According to a Harris Interactive poll of 2,016 adults, currently 21 percent have at least one tattoo. That’s up from 16 percent who reported ink in 2008, and 14 percent who did so in 2003.

The age demographic most likely to have a tattoo is 30-to-39-year-olds, at 38 percent. As for geographical regions, the West Coast leads the way with 26 percent.

However, before you join the increasing ranks of inked up America, you may want to consider another of the survey’s findings. Almost half polled believe a tattoo makes a person less attractive.  We at Newstalk 870 just got our own ink (tribal arrow with barbed wire on the left arm) and we think it's hot!
