An elderly man in his 90's has died from complications related to the flu, say state health officials.

He was also the first such victim in the state for the 2019-20 season. Officials say the flu vaccine is still the best way to protect one's self, especially for older or younger people.  Infants are also more likely to contract it than teens or older adults.

So far, officials say flu cases have only been random around our area and state, no major outbreaks or issues reported other than the death of the elderly man.
