A brand new email sent to workers at a Hanford cleanup contractor shows employees now have until December 8th to offer proof of full vaccination; unless they've been given an exemption.

When Biden originally announced his Federal 'mandate' for companies larger than 100 workers to be vaccinated, some indications were the deadlines would be in mid-September---including for Hanford workers (Federal).

However, a slew of lawsuits across the country has fragmented the deadline. Some companies are setting them, others waiting to see what happens. It's all over the place.

This particular email was sent to workers at The Central Plateau Cleanup Company, or CPCco on Sept. 30th, 2021.  They are the primary contractor for the cleanup of the site, and the millions of gallons of hazardous waste, according to their website.

This email will likely affect thousands of workers. It read in part:

"On Sept. 24, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force released guidance on implementation of President Biden’s Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. Per this guidance, contractor and subcontractor employees – including teleworkers – need to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, unless they are exempted for religious or medical reasons.

Employees will be considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after they have received the second dose in a two-dose series, or two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine. The dates below represent the last date an individual can receive the vaccination and be considered fully vaccinated by the Dec. 8 deadline."

It goes on to mention workers will receive various updates, and vaccination information and opportunities at HPMC for the vaccine are available (appointments) and other resources. It also lists a chart showing in graph form, the levels of vaccinations and dates required.

The email also contains this as well:

"Bottom line, vaccination will be a condition of employment at CPCCo, so don’t wait. TIME TO GO GET VACCINATED!"

Our source said a number of workers are concerned about their status come December 8th or beyond.
