The good news for former Pasco officer Richard Aguirre just disappeared. State prosecutors announced Wednesday they will seek another trail on rape and assault charges. The announcement came just days after a jury declared a mistrial on charges he raped and assaulted a woman in his West Pasco home last November.

This charge is not related to a 1986 Spokane prostitute murder Aguirre is reportedly linked to via DNA. John Henry Browne, Aguirre's attorney, is arguing for a change of venue, another county at least, because of all the publicity, most of it negative they say.

They also want the same judge to try the case, Judge Bruce Spanner. The rape trial is not schedule until March 15 of 2017, because Aguirre's Spokane trial is expected to start in November and last til the end of the year.

In that case, he is linked reportedly to the murder of Ruby Doss, a Spokane prostitute. His attorney says he has proof Aguirre was stationed in Korea at the time of the murder, as he was in the Air Force, and could not have committed the crime. Browne says Aguirre may have had a 'relationship' with the woman, explaining the DNA.

Last November, Aguirre was accused of assaulting and raping a woman who stayed overnight at his West Pasco home. That ended in a mistrial.
