Four Nabbed, Jailed, Over Booze Bottle Assault in Kennewick

A quartet of suspects is in the Benton County jail and the juvenile facility following a late Sunday night assault.

  Police respond to area of west 7th and Vancouver Around 11 PM

Apparently, witnesses called 9-1-1 to report an assault in progress near that intersection, and Police units rushed to the area.

Upon arrival, they found the male victim, who said two juveniles and two adult males had jumped him and began to beat him with a Bicardi bottle.

The man said the juveniles were the ones doing the beating, but as officers searched the nearby area, they found four suspects.

They had fled when approaching sirens were heard and the police were pulling up.

   All suspects were found hiding in bushes nearby

The two teens went to the juvenile center, the two adults are in the Benton County jail. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for his injuries, none of which were life-threatening.  The reason for the assault was not given, and no other details have been released yet.
