Hondas The New “Hot” Car to be Stolen in Tri-Cities

The East side of Kennewick is turning into a new 'hotbed' for stolen Hondas. It's a well known fact that for years, several of the most stolen cars in the U.S. are Hondas. But now  Kennewick police say it's rising.

Since June 18 and July 9, no fewer than 10 Preludes and 1990's era Accords have been reported taken. Their owners say the cars were taken in very late evening or early morning hours.

Most of the thefts have occurred east of Washington street, while some around 4th and Vancouver. Most of them stolen vehicles HAVE been recovered, abandoned in Kennewick or outside the city limits.

Police did not say if they had been stripped or any parts stolen. They urge if you own one of these, garage it if possible and take other precautions. So far, police say they've not identified any solid suspects. If you know anything, please call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
