Popular Tri-Cities Business Plans a Move to Richland and a Name Change
A popular Tri-Cities kettle corn company has a few changes in store for the future.
KC Brand Kettle Corn has been offering sweet and salty popcorn snacks at Tri-Cities events and throughout the Pacific Northwest since 2004. A new store is planned to open in August on George Washington Way in Richland, and there will be a new name for the business, Popcorn Northwest.
The new store has been in the works since 2019. Then the pandemic hit.
Despite that, plans continued, and now it's coming to fruition. Owner Jeramy Schultz also operates a stand inside the Toyota Center selling kettle corn, cotton candy, and lemonade. He travels all over the Northwest selling the popular kettle corn at various festivals and fairs.
At the new Richland location, people will be able to view employees making the kettle corn. As customers walk through the doors, there will be tins filled with various flavors of the sweet and salty treat greeting them.
KC Brand Kettle Corn was known for its fundraising program. Schultz is hoping to bring that popular feature back with Popcorn Northwest.
Everyone is looking forward to the new storefront opening of Popcorn Northwest at 624 George Washington Way in Richland this summer. Along with the popular kettle corn, caramel apples and fresh-squeezed lemonade will also be available at the new location. You can read more here.
