Kennewick Glasses Theft Suspect Also Wanted for 2016 RV Theft
One of two suspects sought in the theft of some eyeglass frames from a Kennewick optometry shop recently is apparently also sought in connection with the alleged theft of an RV in 2016 from Benton City.
Jon Paul Machen, who's being sought for allegedly stealing from Canyon View Family Eye Care in Kennewick was the subject of a Crime Stoppers bulletin last June.
Machen, according to the bulletin and posts from the Facebook page Benton City Community Information, took an RV from a woman named Windy Welch by hot wiring it and driving away. The exact nature of what happened that led to the RV theft is not completely clear, but it is believed his wife and three children were inside the RV when he drove off.
His alleged accomplice in the Canyon View theft was listed as Erin Teagle, but that apparently is a surname, and she also goes by the name of Machen as they are reportedly married.
Machen was arrested in 2014 in connection with a burglary that occurred in the Canyon Lakes area of Kennewick. Authorities say anyone with any information is asked to call (509)-628-0333. All leads are confidential.
