Man Run Over in Parking Lot Had Just Been Involved in “Disturbance”
More details have now been released about that man who got run over in a Kennewick parking lot.
Victim apparently had been in a "disturbance"
Back on May 19th, Kennewick Police responded to the parking lot of the new Ulta Beauty location in the 1200 block of North Columbia Center Blvd. and found a man had been run over by a car.
However, the investigation quickly showed the man had been lying down in the lot, and the driver did not see him. KPD says the driver cooperated fully and is not going to face charges, due to the nature of where the man was and the circumstances.
Now, Police have released more information. The man, whose name has not been released, was involved in some sort of "disturbance" just prior to his misfortune, and for unknown reasons chose to lie down in the parking lot. Police have not said what that disturbance was about.
The last report indicated he was still in Harborview Medical Center, he'd been flown there in critical condition. Apparently, witnesses- including the driver- were able to combine enough power to lift the car to allow the trapped man to be extricated, then both citizens and Kennewick Police performed CPR on him until Kennewick EMS arrived.
They are likely credited with saving his life, according to KPD. More information is likely to be released as the investigation continues.
