MAGA Meetups are national, even international, grassroots mini rallies staged by supporters of President Trump. There have been a number of them this year already in the Mid-Columbia.

But the Benton-Franklin MAGA Meetup coming next Friday Oct. 16 stands to be the largest, considering the number of state and even Congressional leaders who plan to attend.

It will be from 4-7PM at the Bandshell in Columbia Park, near the Lampson Pit area. Some of the legislators who are going to be speaking at the event include:

  • US Congressional House Rep Dan Newhouse
  • 8th District State Representatives Brad Klippert and Matt Boehnke
  • 9th District State Senator and Representatives Mark Schoesler, Mary Dye and Joe Schmick (9th District is northern Franklin County, part of Adams and Whitman Counties).
  • 16th District (Walla Walla area) Reps Perry Dozier, Mark Klicker and Skyler Rude.

There will also be numerous other Republican candidates running for various local and regional offices.  Organizers urge people to remember their masks, and to practice social distancing.

There will also be music, food trucks, and a get out the vote campaign and information.

And the event will also feature a special video presentation message from President Trump.
