Secretary of Defense James Mattis to Speak in Kennewick

The current Secretary of Defense James Mattis is returning home to the Tri-Cities to speak at the 2018 Tri-Citian of the Year program.

The 2018 Tri-Citian of the Year banquet will be May 3rd in Kennewick where General Mattis will be the keynote speaker.

Mattis frequently comes back to the Tri-Cities and will even be here next week to present Dr. Lewis Zirkle the Department of Defense’s Medal for Distinguished Public Service, according to news reports.

The last date to nominate someone for the 2018 Tri-Citian of the Year is April 1st, 2018.
