Sinkhole Closes LaPierre Canyon Road, Don’t Try It Say Deputies

Benton County Deputies say LaPierre Canyon Road between Rachel Road and Escobar has been closed until further notice, due to a rather large sinkhole.

They didn't specify when it occurred, but said in their release NOT to drive around the closed signs and try it on your own. The information was posted Monday by the BCSO.

The sinkhole is located on LaPierre Canyon Road, just northwest of LaPierre Baseball field. No word on estimated return to service. No word was given as to what caused the sinkhole.
