At first glance, it seems funny that a typically 'conservative' paper like the Spokesman Review in Spokane would have such content in it's classifieds or entertainment section. But when you consider these are paid content, and pot is legal, maybe not such a surprise. But it was still pretty funny.

420 Day, or April 20, is the day when users of marijuana and it's associated products celebrate.  We won't elaborate. But in today's Spokesman Review, my sister who lives in the City of Spokane Valley (formerly Greenacres, Dishman, Opportunity and Veradale now consolidated), saw a number of high end cooking recipes that include marijuana. And the paper also included an insert complete with pot advertising, 'specials', and more.

Unlike Kennewick, Richland and Pasco, pot business is operating in Spokane, with several pot stores scattered around the Lilac City.

She got a good laugh and so did I.  So, if you're into that kind of thing, Happy 420 day, dude. Wonder what Grandma's reaction was when she picked up the paper this morning and saw this? A new twist on Thanksgiving Dinner later this year?
