Standoff in Richland Reportedly Involving Wanted Suspect-UPDATE

UPDATE - 20-year-old David Atterbury surrendered Tuesday evening to the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team after the lengthy standoff. Two other arrests were also made. The standoff is now over.

The situation is still developing, but Richland police and other authorities say the man involved is wanted for other crimes.

Richland police and other units are staged near a home in the 1100 block of Cottonwood in Richland, as an apparent standoff is going on.

According to our News partner KNDU-TV, the man is wanted in connection with another crime.

He's, according to officials, 'previously known' to have broken into a home last August, and allegedly stole 22 firearms, $7,000 in cash, silver coins and a large supply of ammunition, as well as personal documents from the victim.

Police are reportedly asking for him at the home. More information expected soon.
