Pasco police report a large F-250 that was stolen January 19th has been found, but not driveable, at least for a little while.

The large white truck, which was taken sometime between 3am and 3pm was later found but police didn't say where. However, it was up on blocks, with all the wheels and tires missing.

Depending upon what the driver had done internally, it's quite possible the value of the wheels and tires exceeded the truck itself, which is often the case. Anyone with any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.

This story reinforces why it's a good idea to have what's called 'locking hubs' on your wheels. Granted, they might not stop an uber determined thief, but they do act as a big time deterrent.

Most expensive sets of wheels come with a small 'key' or allen wrench that prevents immediate access to the lug nuts. Often, this barrier will cause at thief to abandon their theft because it would take too long to 'break' in to the wheel. If you don't have that key, you're not getting to the lugs and wheels--at least not without damaging them.
