Now, the only waiting being done is for the schedule.

The Tri-City Americans announced Wednesday their 12 home games will be aired on SWX TV, and simulcast on Newstalk870AM-FM98.7, the radio home of the team.

The 12 road games will be aired on Newstalk870AM FM98.7 and all games will be available for live streaming on newstalk870.am.

Craig West will again handle the play by play lead. During the 2019-2020 season, the Americans and Newstalk870 aired several games on SWX via this simulcast delivery. Townsquare Media-Newstalk870's Pete Christensen will be the anchorman for the 12 SWX-radio games.

Now the only part is waiting for the schedule. Earlier this week the WHL approved the 5 Central Division teams in Alberta to begin play between themselves February 26th.

However, much depends upon whether the Tri-Cities and Spokane move to Phase 2 in Gov. Inslee's latest reopen plan. King County is in Phase 2, freeing up the Seattle Thunderbirds and Everett Silvertips. But the Am's and Chiefs are still waiting. Same for Portland, as OR is still under Governor Brown's "state of emergency" through March 1st.

It is NOT yet known if any fans will be allowed inside the Toyota Center for any of the home games.  We have heard several scenarios, but are NOT going to report until we get official word from the Americans and Toyota Center.
