This Is What Happens When You Run a Stop Sign

Early Friday, Kennewick police responded to the intersection of East 3rd. Ave and Date Streets. Even in lower traffic areas, if you run a stop sign, bad things will often occur.

Police said the sedan failed to stop at the stop sign, and zipped out into the path of the oncoming pickup. Fortunately, no injuries reported, but the sedan driver was cited for failure to yield. The crash also took out a light pole, seen in the photo.

And, there's a good chance their insurance is going to go up just a little bit.
