Sunday evening, a truck accident triggered a brush fire along I-182 near Pasco, reinforcing the fact that fire danger is still high.

According to our news partner KNDU-TV, the truck  was traveling west on the highway when the driver lost control, crossed the median and struck a semi headed east.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital as was the semi-driver, but no serious injuries reported. However, the fire from the crash jumped the median, and burned about 100 acres alongside the freeway before being contained. The windy conditions did not help.

The most recently released information for Benton and Franklin Counties shows fire danger is still considered high.
