Early Tuesday morning, Kennewick Police played whack-a-mole with a running suspect before he was finally apprehended.

Officers were called to the area of West Hood and North Johnson (just east of Hawthorne Court area) for a report of a man yelling loudly, and running through people's yards.

After arriving around 1:40AM, officers saw the suspect, wearing only shorts, running down the middle of the street. He then jumped up on the hood of a nearby  truck.  Officers said he resisted arrest but was apprehended after causing a minor injury to an officer. He's facing a variety of charges.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Ahmir Dunn, was the same person whom people had reported running through yards in the area earlier in the evening. However, at that time he had eluded police. This time, they got him.
