Saturday's blizzard was unprecedented and something I've never seen in the 26 years I have lived here and it caused the death of some 1600 dairy cows in the valley...

According to an article published by KIMA news the cows died because of the prolonged blizzard which produced 80 mph winds in the valley on Saturday.
