The owner of a former Seattle gun store who's moved to nearby Lynnwood has some harsh words for Seattle city officials, who passed a 'gun tax' not long ago. Your efforts are futile.

Sergey Solyanik is the owner of The Precise Shooter, a popular gun store that moved out of Seattle after opening in 2015. Solyanik says during their short stay in Seattle, they paid some $32,000 in gun taxes, based upon the number of firearms and ammunition sold.

Because of this, he moved his store to Lynnwood, and will pay about $3,000 to that city. Solyanik, on his Precise Shooter online blog, posted a copy of his most recent City of Seattle Firearms and Ammunition Tax Return, which shows -0- now that he's moved.

Solyanik posted data from the city, showing there's not an epidemic as far as homicides, they remain fairly consistent, which debunks city council member's claims  there's a gun violence epidemic.

He also shows based upon the most recent crime data, the gun tax, as well as the passage of the controversial I-594, did nothing to lower or modify the homicide rates.
