Thanks to a member of congress, the outspoken rocker and gun rights supporter will be in the crowd.

Representative Steve Stockman gave one of his gallery visitor tickets for Obama's State of the Union Address to "the Nuge." A number of congressmen who favor gun control have given their allotment of upper gallery passes to victims of gun crimes, hoping to stack the house with people who likely support Obama's anti-gun stance.

Stockman, however, felt it was necessary to have pro-gun advocates in the crowd.  Nugent, besides being a rock legend, is an outspoken supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a member of the National Rifle Association's board.

Congressmen and other D.C. leaders are given passes that allow guests to sit in the upper gallery overlooking where the legislators sit during sessions of congress.
