The List Is Out-Are You Driving One of Safest Cars in America?

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety are the folks you hear so much about in TV ads and news reports about vehicles. The IIHS Safety rating is also seen on stickers of new cars...for example: "This vehicle has a 5-Star crash safety rating..." etc.

Now the IIHS has released their list of the safest cars in America, from small to large.

The list includes (we're just giving three examples, there are 15 total).

• Small Cars:  Kia Forte Sedan, Subaru Impreza, Kia Soul
• Medium Cars: Subaru Legacy, Toyota Camry, Subaru Outback
• Large Cars: Lincoln Continental, BMW 5 Series, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Sport.

These were among the 15 cars that got the IIHS Safety Pick Plus for being the safest on the road in overall catagories. Another 47 for the Safety Pick award, not quite as good but very solid.
