According to information from the Washington State Secretary of State and elections officials, so far, we're millions ahead of where we were in 2016 for returned ballots.

According to MyNorthwest.com,  as of this day in 2016, 43.9 percent of ballots had been returned.  As of today, 2020, 67 percent had been sent  in. That totals so far, about 3.3 million votes.

The state expects about 500,000 people to turn in their ballots on election day, Nov. 3, Tuesday. So far, counties that have reached at least 70 percent ballot return include:

Clallam, Columbia, Ferry, Island, Jefferson, King, Kittitas, Lincoln, Mason, Pacific, San Juan, Whatcom, and Whitman counties.

So far, Benton County is at 62 Percent (according to the auditor's office) and Franklin County is at 64.25 percent.
