Washington is getting closer and closer to getting back to $30 car license tabs as a judge has lifted an injunction that was preventing the measure from going into effect.

Initiative 976 has been stalled due to a lawsuit by the Seattle City Attorney's Office, which is trying to prevent the measure from going through because of what it will cost state budgets. But looks like it's coming to fruition.

One part of the measure was ruled unconstitutional, however -- the judge struck down the portion that called for using the Kelley Blue Book as the fair value of vehicles.

Attorney General Bob Ferguson says the measure will start take effect on March 27 if no other challenges are filed.

The good news is that it seems $30 car tabs will soon be a reality. You can check out more details on the tabs and story here.
