Details are still forthcoming, but a search warrant is being carried out at a Franklin County farm today.

Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agents and members of the Tri-Cities Metro Drug Task Force are searching the farm located at 5100 Elm Road.

Last October, authorities arrested Kenneth James French and his wife Shanna Rene French for allegedly selling poppy seed pods that can be used to extract a variety of narcotic substances including codeine and morphine. Authorities did not prosecute the case at that time.

According to reports, the couple sell poppy seeds through a business called Poppydog farms. No other information has yet been made available about the search.
