It's back next Tuesday, the popular Free Pancake Day at IHOP, March 7th. Many celebrities have been involved over the year, from KISS' Gene Simmons, to Devon McCourty of the Super Bowl Champ New England Patriots (pictured), and others.

From 7am through at least 7pm, stop by the International House of Pancakes at 5015 Road 68 in Pasco, or the location on Canal Drive in Kennewick, and get a free short-stack of buttermilk pancakes (3 cakes).

In return, IHOP would appreciate any donation you'd like to make, with all the proceeds going to the Children's Miracle Network hospitals across the country. They include Virginia Mason in Yakima, Sacred Heart in Spokane, and Seattle Children's hospital-all who have treated kids from the Mid-Columbia for years.

How big is the Free Pancake Day? According to IHOP, they expect to serve over 5 million pancakes March 7, and raise in excess of $4 million dollars to help these hospitals. Since the National Pancake Day began 11 years ago, over $24 million has been raised.  If you stack 5 million pancakes, it would make a tower 19 miles high!

So make sure for breakfast, lunch or dinner, grab the family and head over to IHOP and enjoy a free short stack AND make a donation to help the kids! We go every year, it's a lot of fun for a great cause. Kennewick location is on Canal Drive, Pasco on Road 68.

Both will be observe the Free Pancake Day at least from 7am to 7pm, some locations can choose to continue the event until 10pm.  Check with locations to see if they will be running extended hours.
